Colossians 2:8 – “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”
This is a prime example of people who claim they speak for
God. And, may I say they are the worst Pharisees I have ever seen in my days.
Don't let these people "cheat" you out of a
personal relationship with Christ. Don't listen to this lie and allow these
people deceive you "according to the tradition of men." God
never said anything like this or even close to it. The reason WBC tells people
this is because they are spreading the "basic principles of the
world," which is, you can't do this or do that because of these religious
rules. Christ said in Mark 16:16, “He who believes and is baptized will
be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”

No, here is what I have to say. WBC are fools and don't know
the fate of anyone. How can they know the fate of people they do not know
personally, especially "heavy metal musicians?" Isn't it God who
makes that decision? What does it matter what you do for a living?
Romans 10:9-13 “…if you confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture
says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no
distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all
who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved.”
I think that's pretty cut and dry. If you believe, you will
be saved. Didn't see anything in there about what kind of music you listen to,
what kind of instrument you play or what kind of living you make out of
yourself.
